Hello OPPO, I’m EL_ULY. ULY is short for Ulysses pronounced (You li-cees) in English and (oo “like in loop” Lee ses) in Spanish. I go simply by Uly (oo Lee).
INTRO
I am 28 years old from Houston, Texas. I am about 5'10" and about 235lbs. First generation American but way back down the line, my family (dad’s side) is from the southern TX Gulf Coast area when Texas was still Tejas y Coahuila, a part of Mexico.
I attended the University of Houston Downtown (on/off) and also the dumb UTI Automotive program. I have Associates in Applied Science, all ASE certifications plus L1, and in T-Ball when I was 8 years old, my team won 1st place no thanks to me lol. FYI, the pitcher’s mound is not a base.
I don’t have Twitter, Facebook, or any of those goofy things. The only reason i’m on my phone is to talk to my wife, take pictures, listen to music/Youtube, and OPPO on the toilet. I’m not into computers or video games. I have a really old laptop I use just to pay bill s and stuff like that. I prefer my tools over dang computers.
I am married to my best friend in the whole wooorld. The most perfect girl that I feel a dork like me is 100% not worthy of.
Electrician, fluent in French, Tae Kwon Do Black belt, hired dancer/singer/model, hired DJ, and master certified make-up artist among many other things.
Due to all the BS!!!!!!!!!! that is the immigration and citizenship process here in the Murica, my wife is still in Mexico DF. All paperwork has been approved and more paperwork has arrived pending even MORE review. All fees (about $2300 so far) have been paid. We are waiting for final approvals with the National Visa Center and just waiting for our date at the US Embassy in the most beautiful and totally not ranked The Most Dangerous City in the World on multiple occasions, Juarez Mexico. (was going to link something... but dead women and children chopped up in many pieces on the street is not cool to see)

HOBBIES
I like watching motorsport mostly. I like hunting and fishing (salt water only). As for music, my ears are primed to only one type, and that is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I honestly don’t listen to much besides that. The less vocals and more musical composition, the better. Musci is for the ears people, not the eyes. I play the bass guitar and was founder of my band 13F back in San Antonio. Playing mostly at parties and stuff for over a year. We all eventually moved away. I am also really into TRAXXAS R/C cars and die-cast cars as i’ll get more into detail on that later.

CAR WORLD
My first job was working at a hole in the wall gas station service center when I was 15 near Wharton Texas. It was a trillion degrees everyday and the cars I worked on were ancient. Mostly farm trucks and the standard late 80's early 90's American cars. After high school and during college, I worked at a super tiny muscle car restoration shop working on regular modern cars “to make the shop money for projects”. Towards the end of school, I got offered a entry level technician job at a Lexus dealership in San Antonio. I moved and quickly because a Lexus Master Tech. I was there until 2010 when I moved back to Houston to work at my current dealership. I was a shop aid for the four brands Volvo, Aston Martin, Lotus and Mercedes-Benz and front end specialist for the first year. Afterwards, I stuck to Volvo and became a Volvo Master tech. Currently, I work in our parts department bouncing throughout the dealer but primarily with Volvo.

Welp, that is it. I’m really glad you peeps are the way you are. I’m no fanboy of any type of car. I still think i’m in a grey area of not being an auto enthusiasts. I don’t mind Camry or an Agera R. simon limon. As for Traxxas, I got mine on Craigslist but by now only the motor and chassis is original. Everything else is either replace because of a crash or most likely updated with aftermarket stuff. It gets pricey but after a long time. $15 here and $20 there does add up at the end of the year

I've never seen snow as you know. Neither has my wife. I'll be all freaking out lol.
As far as BBQ goes, we can day trip to Luling TX for a big butcher paper (used as a plate) full of brisket, ribs, and sausage. Or better yet, to Franklin's BBQ in Austin
mmmm!!!!!!!! Open the doors, the smoke from the mesquite makes your eye burn, sit down with your ice cold Dr. Pepper, then and only then.... OM NOM NOM!!

I had a Savage and a 2WD Slash before. They are very fun but you get the bug and want to keep upgrading until your wallet is empty lol. I am currently building my own push rods and tie rods from carbon. Just waiting on parts. Also, chasing down a good set of hub carriers.

As for all this hubbub with USCIS and the NVC, it is seriously a joke process designed to prey on the weak and keep people out. I like to think i'm a pretty smart guy and it has really kicked my ass sometimes the complexity of it all not to mention how very expensive it is. I feel for the poor and frail going through this process that fight for the money and struggle with the online forms, horrible websites, and all the lawers that take their money and run without any progress made for visas or citizenship.
Safety is priority number one with immigration for sure, but reform is needed urgently.
The process for me is almost complete. I can't wait for this nightmare to end and have my wife in my arms. That is all i want.
